Kaushal Pradesh, founded by Vaivaswat Manu, is situated on the banks of the sacred Saryu River.

The beautiful and prosperous city of Ayodhya is the capital of this state.

In the dynasty of Vaivaswat Manu, there were many valiant, mighty, talented and famous kings, of which King Dasharatha was also one.

King Dasharatha was the penetrator of the Vedas, the devout, the merciful, the warrior, and the Prajapala.  The subjects in his kingdom were painless, honest and god-fearing.  There was a complete lack of animosity towards anyone in his state.

One day, seeing a white colored hairstyle between his Krishnavarna hairstyle in the mirror, Maharaj Dasharatha began to think that the end of my youth days is near and I am still childless.

How will my dynasty proceed and what will happen to the state in the absence of any successor?  Thinking like this, he resolved to perform the sonishthi yajna to get a son.

Calling his Vice-Chancellor Vasistha ji, he told his intention and prayed to tell the appropriate legislation for the Yajna.

Knowing his views as appropriate and well-reasoned, Guru Vashist ji said, “O Rajan!  It is my belief that your desire will definitely be fulfilled by performing the Putrayeshthi Yagya.

Therefore, you should make an Ashwamedha Yagya as soon as possible and leave a beautiful Shyamkarna ashwada for it. ”

According to the mantra of Guru Vashistha, soon after Maharaja Dasharatha built a very beautiful and very beautiful Yagyashala on the northern bank of the river Saryu, and by ordering the ministers and servants to make all arrangements, Maharaja Dasharatha went to the Raniwas and his three queens Kaushalya, Kaikeyi  And told this good news to Sumitra.

All the queens were pleased to hear the words of Maharaj.

Birth of Rama, Bharata, Lakshmana and Shatrughna  Ministers and servants rescued the Shyamkarna horse with Chaturangini army as per Maharaj's orders.

Maharaja Dasharatha sent a call to the devotees, ascetics, learned sages and monks of Vedanta to conduct the yagya.

At a certain time, Maharaja Dasharatha along with all the devotees attended the Yagna Mandap with his Guru Vashishtha and his supreme friend, the lord of the country, Lompad, the son of Rama, the son of Rama.

Thus the great yagna was duly launched.  The whole atmosphere began to resonate with the text in the high tone of the Vedas, and the scent of the Samidha began to smell.

The Yajna ended with good luck to all Pandits, Brahmins, Rishis, etc. by offering proper money, grain etc.

King Dasaratha took the Prasad Chara of the Yajna to his palace and distributed it among his three queens.

As a result of receiving the offerings, the three queens conceived by the grace of the Supreme Father God.

When the Sun, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter and Venus were seated in their respective high places in the Punavasu nakshatra on the Navami date of the Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month, an infant was born from the womb of Maharaja Dasharatha's great queen Kausalya as soon as the Cancer Ascendant was born.

Which was Shyamvarna, very bright, extremely colorful and amazingly beautiful.

Those who saw that baby were left with a cheat.  After this, in the auspicious constellations and auspicious times, two stunning sons of Queen Kaikeyi and third queen Sumitra were born.

The whole state was rejoiced.  In celebration of the birth of Maharaj's four sons, Gandharva started singing and the apsaras started dancing.

The gods sat in their planes and started showering flowers.

The Maharaja donated alms to the Brahmin and the petitioners who gave the bhat, baran and blessings that came to the rajdwar with a free hand.

The naming rites of the four sons were performed by Maharishi Vasishtha and they were named Ramchandra, Bharata, Lakshmana and Shatrughna.

With the increasing age, Ramchandra started to grow in qualities and became very popular among his subjects.

He had a unique talent, as a result of which he became well versed in all subjects in a short time.

He gained exceptional expertise in running all types of weapons and riding elephants, horses and all types of vehicles.

He was constantly engaged in the service of parents and gurus.  The remaining three brothers also followed him.

As much reverence and devotion to the Gurus as these four brothers had, there was mutual love and harmony among them.  Maharaj Dasaratha's heart was filled with pride and joy on seeing his four sons.
